Singing Victory!

“And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast…And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb…”Rev. 15:2,3.

The cheering rings in your ears days later. “We win! We win!” Who doesn’t want to be on the winning team? No one likes to lose and no one has to lose.blogpraise-1154566__340

“And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God…Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song unto the LORD, and spake, saying, I will sing unto the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously… …The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name…Thy right hand, O LORD, is become glorious in power: thy right hand, O LORD, hath dashed in pieces the enemy…And Miriam answered them, Sing ye to the LORD, for he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and his rider hath he thrown into the sea…

…The enemy said, I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my lust shall be satisfied upon them; I will draw my sword my hand shall destroy them…Your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”(Taken from Ex. 15 and 1Pet. 5:8).

“…and the song of the Lamb… And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel… These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them; for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful… And when the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison…to deceive the nations…to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up no the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city;  and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil …was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.” (Gen. 3:15; Rev. 17:14;Rev. 20:7-10).

Wait before you start cheering, we’ve only just begun. Today you’ve heard the chorus and first verse. Tomorrow, Lord willing, we will hear the final chorus as one last enemy is defeated. Until then keep singing Moses song, “…he hath triumphed gloriously; the horse and the rider hath he thrown into the sea.” The Lord, “hath dashed in pieces the enemy.”

What enemy tactics are you facing? There is victory. If you are the Lord’s you are on the winning team.

  1. “What enemy tactics are you facing?” Do you really want me to answer that question? I face serious enemy tactics nearly every day. I am married to an addict and an abuser. To understand his tactics you can read about passive aggressive, narcissism and psychological manipulation. I put no credence in such titles, but what they describe are the tactics of our enemy, Satan, as he works through individuals who are following him instead of God. I face many of Satan’s tactics every day – lies, manipulations, tricks, false accusations, mind games, the blame-game, etc. But, you are so right! “There is victory. If you are the Lord’s you are on the winning team.” Amen! Praise the Lord for the victory that is ours in Jesus Christ our Lord against the devil’s tactics which he uses against us. We are mighty conquerors through HIM who loves us and who gave his life up for us.

    1. Yes, I welcome your answer. And I’ve read enough of your blogs to know you know how to combat those tactics with the word of God and His Spirit doing battle for you and speaking peace to your heart. Will keep you in prayer.
