“O, God, thou art my God; early will I seek thee: my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee in a dry and thirsty land, where no water is.” Psalm 63:1.
“We made it! This is where we’re staying.” After traveling over 1400 miles in 3 vehicles with a group of 14 ranging from 8 to, well my age, most of which were teens, we made it. I texted my daughter and sent her a picture of where we had arrived.
Her reply, “It’s brown! It’s all brown with more brown.”
Down a dusty road, sitting atop the Mesa at 7200 ft., a church in a dry barren land invites its people to drink of the water of life freely. And the people, sometime a few, others many, come from miles around each night to a tent revival to drink of this water, knowing how precious water is to life.
“…my soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh longeth for thee…
Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price…Seek ye the LORD while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near…Isa. 55:1,6;
When the poor and needy seek water and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them…Isa. 41:17;
whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life…John 4:14;
If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, our of his belly shall flow rivers of living water…John 7:37,38;
Have you received the invitation? It comes directly from the throne of God, it flows forever, and there is still time to receive it.
“And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and the Lamb…And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will let him take the water of life freely.”Rev. 22:1,17.
It’s free because Jesus Christ paid the price. Come drink the water that satisfies.
