Ain’t It Time?

“And Moses and the priests, the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God.” Deut. 27:9.

This day the children of Israel are grown and have retraced the steps of their parents as they now stand where their parents stood forty years earlier. The Absence of their parents serves as a stark reminder of the cost of quitting through unbelief. Now, it is time, their time to go, grow, and give glory to God. Deuteronomy gives them the tools to accomplish the goal before them, even as their example prepares us for the same.

AIN’T IT TIME

To Go Take Possession: 

To the children the Lord says:

“For thou art an holy people unto the LORD thy God: the LORD thy God hath chosen thee to be a special people unto himself, above all people that are upon the earth…Deut. 7;6; And thou shalt remember all the way which the LORD thy God led thee these forty years in the wilderness, to humble thee, and to prove thee, to know what was in thine heart, whether thou wouldest keep his commandments, or no.” 8:2.

To His children today:

“But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light…1Pet. 2:9; According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.” 2Pet.1:3,4; Ye are they which have continued with me in my temptations. And I appoint unto you a kingdom, as my Father hath appointed unto me…Luke 22:28,29; If we endure, we shall also reign with him…2 Tim. 2:12; To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne…Rev. 3:21.

To Grow in Faith:

To the children, Face the giants:

Hear, O Israel; Thou art to pass over Jordan this day, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than thy self, cities great and fenced up to heaven. A people great and tall, the children of the Anakims, whom thou knowest, and of whom thou hast heard say, Who can stand before thee; as a consuming fire he shall destroy them, and he shall bring them down before thy face: so shalt thou drive them out, and destroy them quickly, as the LORD hath said unto thee.” Duet. 9:1-3.

To us as we face the giants:

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds…2Cor. 10:4; Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and professed a good profession before many witnesses…1Tim. 6:12; No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier…2Tim. 2:4; Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.” 1Pet. 5:8.

AIN’T IT TIME

To Give Glory to God:

To the children of Israel.

“Give ear, O ye heavens, and I will speak; and hear, O earth, the words of my mouth…Because I will publish the name of the LORD: ascribe ye greatness unto our God. He is the Rock, his work is perfect: for all his ways are judgment: a God of truth and without iniquity, just and right is he…Deut.32: 1,3,4;

To all the children of God.

“O sing unto the LORD a new song: sing unto the LORD, all the earth. Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation from day to day. Declare his glory among the heathen his wonders among all people. For the LORD is great, and greatly to be praised: he is to be feared above all gods…Ps. 96:1-4; Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven…Matt. 5:16; For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s…1Cor. 6:20; And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever…Rev. 5:13; And a voice came out of the throne, saying, PRAISE OUR GOD, ALL YE HIS SERVANTS, AND YE THAT FEAR HIM, BOTH SMALL AND GREAT…Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth.” Rev. 19:5,6b.

AIN’T IT TIME…

Forgive the English but, ain’t it time as God has highly exalted the Lord Jesus, we,

“…at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” Phil. 2:10,11.

TO LIVE LIKE THE POSSESSION OF GOD WE ARE.
