Have You Brought An Offering?

“O give thanks unto the LORD, forhe is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” Psalm 107:1.

I’m taking a break from the series that walks with Jesus through the Bible to focus on this season of thanksgiving. May you all have a blessed Thanksgiving whether you are in the states or not. Each day is evidence of God’s goodness. If we think on these thinks joy will fill our heart and be our strength.

“O give thanks unto the LORD…

“When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the good land which he hath given thee.” Deut. 8:10.

“Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light.” Col. 1:12

“In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” 1Thess. 5:18.

We are told to give thanks in everything. How is this possible?

for he is good…

“O taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man that trusteth in  him.” Ps. 34:8.

“The Lord is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him.” Nahum1:7.

“Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?” Rom. 2:4.

What evidence of God’s goodness have you seen this week?

for his mercy endureth for ever…

“It is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning:” Lam. 3:22,23.

“Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.” Micah 7:18.

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.” Titus 3:5.

Mercy is defined as not receiving what we deserve. How is his mercy newevery morning?

“Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men! And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.” Psalm 107: 21:22.

What does it mean to sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving?

Heavenly Father, may this season bring us into remembranceof your goodness and mercy toward us and may we offer to you thanksgiving and praise today and every day.

Ok, now I have to practice what I preach and say thank you, Father. I don’t have a clue how to use this new wordpress formatting. So, thank you, for reminding me it’s not about the formatting but about you and your word.
