This is written for you, who stop to read and/or follow my blog. It is Paul’s prayer for you and me and mine for you.
“For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ…
That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory,-
‘But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.’ Phil. 4:19
‘For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory; no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.’ Psalm 84:11.
to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man-
‘Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness.’ Col. 1:11.
That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; –
‘Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.’ John 14:23.
‘For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:’ Eph. 2:8
that ye being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to conrehend with all the saints what is the breadth-
‘For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.’ John 3:16.
‘When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.’ John 19:30.
and depth and height-
‘And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.’ John 3:13
‘He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.’ Eph. 10.
And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God.” Eph. 3:14, 16-19
‘Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.’ 1John 3:1-3.
This is my prayer and thanksgiving for you. I miss keeping up with your blogs. So many of your posts have blessed and encouraged me. Life circumstances and the summer ministries approaching are keeping me from blogging or reading on any consistent basis. But I do hope what is written may encourage and what I have written you may also find a source of encouragement.
Please check this out. A friend of mine gave me a subscription to a devotional for caregivers called, “Strength and Grace”. It’s published by Guidepost and is a daily dose of encouragement for those who are ministering to others, which really should be each of us, for…
“Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another.” 1John 3:11.
Thank you, for your constant source of encouragement.
