Praying the Lord’s Prayer for Christmas, Part 1

blogpraise-1154566__340“Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.”

Psalm 150: 6

Praise God for He is:

Our Father which art in heaven…

“And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary:

for thou hast found favour with God.

And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb,

and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name

JESUS.

He shall be great, and shall be called the

Son of the Highest…

The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee,

and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee:

therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the

Son of God.”

Luke 1:30-32,35

“But when the fullness of time was come,

God sent forth his Son,

made of a woman, made under the law,

to redeem them that were under the law,

that we might receive the adoption of sons..”

 Gal. 4:4-5

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God,

they are the sons of God.

For ye have not received the spirit of fear bondage

again to fear; but ye have received

the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry

Abba, Father.”

Rom. 8:14,15

“Blessed be the God, and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

which according to his abundant mercy

hath begotten us again unto a lively hope

by the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead..”

1Peter 1:3

Praise God for He is holy.

…Hallowed be thy name…

“And Mary said,

My soul doth magnify the Lord,

and my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour…

For he that is mighty hath done to me great things;

and holy is his name.”

Luke 1:46,47, 49

“He sent redemption unto his people:

he hath commanded his covenant for ever:

holy and reverend is his name.”

Psalm 111:9

“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things,

as silver and gold, from your vain conversation

received by tradition from your fathers,

but with the precious blood of Christ,

as of a lamb without blemish, and without spot…”

1Peter 1:18,19

“Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved,

let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit,

perfecting holiness in the fear of God.”

2Cor. 7:1

Praise God His kingdom has come:

…Thy kingdom come.

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven…

“Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea…

there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,

Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews?

for we have seen his star in the east,

and are come to worship him…

And when they were come into the house,

they saw the young child with Mary his mother,

and fell down, and worshipped him:

and when they had opened their treasures,

they presented unto him gifts; gold,

and frankincense, and myrrh.”

Matt. 2: 1-2, 11.

“I will declare the decree:

the LORD hath said unto me,

Thou art my Son;

this day have I begotten thee.

Ask of me,

and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance,

and the uttermost parts

of the earth for thy possession.

Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron;

thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.

Be wise now therefore, O ye kings:

be instructed, ye judges of the earth.

Serve the LORD with fear,

and rejoice with trembling.

Kiss the Son, lest he be angry,

and ye perish from the way,

when his wrath is kindled but a little.

Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.”

Psalm 2:7-12

“Now after that John was put in prison,

Jesus came into Galilee,

preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, saying,

The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand:

repent ye, and believe the gospel.”

Mark 1:14-15

“And be not conformed to this world:

but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,

that ye may prove what is that

good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Rom. 12:2

Today may we join hearts and voices to praise our Father together for He is holy and worthy of praise, and is sovereign over all.
