“And when He had taken the book, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, having each one a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.” Rev. 5:8
Saints, it’s time to pray.
“Our Father…” “But now, O Lord, thou art our Father; we are the clay, and thou art the potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.” Isa. 64:8. “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God.” 1John 3:1a.
“which art in heaven…” “The Lord hath prepared his throne in the heavens; and his kingdom ruleth over all.” Ps. 103:19.
“Hallowed be thy name.” “Holy, Holy Holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.” Rev. 4:8. “…it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” 1Pet. 1:16. “… put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” Eph. 4:24.
“Thy kingdom come…” “…The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.” Isa. 9:7b. “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.” 1Cor. 4:20.
“Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” “Teach me to do thy will: for thou art my God: thy spirit is good: lead me into the land of uprightness.” Ps. 143:10.
“Give us this day our daily bread.” “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness: and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matt. 6:33.
“And forgive us our debts… ” “I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins.” Isa. 43:25. “For this is my blood of the new testament, which is shed for many for the remission of sins.” Matt. 26:28. “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1John 1:9.
“…as we forgive our debtors.” “But if we forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” Matt. 6:15. “And be ye kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.” Eph. 4:32.
“And lead us not into temptation…” “Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.” James 1:12.
“…but deliver us from evil.” “…The Lord is my rock… in him will I trust: he is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower, and my refuge, my saviour; thou savest me from violence. I will call on the Lord, who is worthy to be praised: so shall I be saved from mine enemies.When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me afraid; The sorrows of hell compassed me…In my distress I called upon the Lord and cried to my God: and he did hear my voice out of his temple, and my cry did enter into his ears.” 2Sam. 22:2-7.
“For thine is the kingdom…” “…one like the Son of man…came to the Ancient of days…and there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.” Dan. 7:13-14.
“…the power…” “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth…” Rom. 1:16.
“…the glory…” “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2Cor.3:18
“for ever.” “I am the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.” Rev. 1:8.
“Amen.” “These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness…” Rev. 3:14.
