Prayer & Praise for Strength

“That he would grant you,

according to the riches of his glory,

to be strengthened with might

by his Spirit in the inner man.”

Ephesians 3:16

THE PRAYER:

That he would grant you

and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth…he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.” John 14:16,17

According to the riches of his glory

Which art in heaven…

which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”

Hallowed be thy name…

“To the praise of the glory of his grace,

wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved.

In whom we have redemption through his blood,

the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;”

To be strengthened with might by his Spirit

Thy kingdom come…

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven…

  • “be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;
  • That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing,
  • being fruitful in every good work,
  • and increasing in the knowledge of God:
  • Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power,
  • unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;” Colossians 1:9-11

in the inner man.

but though our outward man perish,

yet the inward man is renewed day by day.”

Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors…

Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation;

and uphold me with thy free spirit.”

Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit,

saith the LORD of hosts.”

THE PRAISE:

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever.

“Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation; and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.

Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power,

and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty:

for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine;

thine is the kingdom, O LORD,

and thou art exalted as head above all.

Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all;

and in thine hand is power and might;

and in thine hand it is to make great,

and to give strength unto all.

Now therefore, our God,

we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.”

1 Chronicles 29:10-13

Amen… So be it.
