Prayer, Praise, and Promises

DSCF0336May we join our hearts, minds, and voices in praying and praising using the Lord’s Prayer as our guide.

Our Father which art in heaven …

“O LORD, thou art my God; I will exalt thee,

Hallowed be thy name …

I will praise thy name:

for thou hast done wonderful things:

thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth …

Thy kingdom come …

He will swallow up death in victory;

and the Lord God will wipe away tears from off all faces;

and the rebuke of his people

shall he take away from off the earth:

for the LORD hath spoken it.

And it shall be said in that day,

Lo, this is our God;

we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his salvation …

Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men,

and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people,

and God himself shall be with them,

and be their God.

And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;

and there shall be no more death,

neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain;

for the former things are passed away.”

Isaiah 25:1,8,9; Revelation 21:3,4

Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven …

“Jesus saith unto them,

My meat is to do the will of him that sent me,

and to finish his work …

I delight to do thy will, O my God:

yea, thy law is within my heart …

arm yourselves likewise … no longer should live the rest of his time

in the flesh to the lusts of men,

but to the will of God.”

John 4:34; Psalm 40:8; From 1Peter 4:1,2

Give us this day our daily bread …

“I have been young, and now am old;

yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken,

nor his seed begging bread …

Let your conversation be without covetousness;

and be content with such things as ye have:

for he hath said,

I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”

Psalm 37:25; Hebrews 13:5

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors …

“It is of the LORD’S mercies that we are not consumed,

because his compassions fail not.

They are new every morning:

great is they faithfulness …

Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.”

Lamentations 3:22,23; Matthew 5:7

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil …

“Because thou hast kept the word of my patience,

I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation,

which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth…

The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations,

and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished …

The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil:

he shall preserve thy soul.

The LORD shall preserve thy going out

and thy coming in from this time forth,

and even for evermore.”

Revelation 3:10; 2 Peter 2:9; Psalm 121:7,8

For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen …

“Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power,

and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty:

for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine:

thine is the kingdom, O LORD,

and thou art exalted as head above all.

Both riches and honor come of thee,

and thou reignest over all;

and in thine hand is power and might:

and in thine hand it is to make great,

and to give strength unto all.

Now therefore, our God,

we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.”

1Chronicles 29:11-13

Have a blessed weekend and may we find time to gather with our brothers and sisters in Christ to continue our prayer and praise as one in Him.
