Praise Ye the Lord!

bloggratitude-1201944_960_720“Praise ye the LORD.

Praise God in his sanctuary:

praise him in the firmament of his power.

Praise him for his mighty acts:

praise him according to his excellent greatness.

Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs. Praise him upon the loud cymbals.

Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD.

Praise ye the LORD. Ps. 150

“This is the day which the LORD hath made;

we will rejoice and be glad in it.

Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.

Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD;

we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.

God is the LORD,

which hath shewed us light:

bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.

Thou art my God, and I will praise thee:

thou art my God, I will exalt thee.

O give thanks unto the LORD;

for he is good:

for his mercy endureth for ever.”

Ps. 118: 24-29.

How are you praising the Lord today?

As Promised

IMG_0740[1]“But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain.” 1Cor. 15:57,58.

IMG_0844[1]The work began for Mission Trip 2019 and both camps for summer of 2019 long before we reached our destination or held a camp.

The mission group which consisted of 16 of us worked throughout the year raising funds to go to the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. The picture above is our yard sale and the one to the right features our day of making over 400 pints of applebutter.  Below are a few pictures of our trip, the fun, the work of ministry, and time of being ministered to.

Our group
Bible School Singing-5 children received Jesus as their Savior
Roofing, cleaning, painting, building, and various other work done in the mornings
The following pictures are from Day Camp where we had 72 children total and 11 saved, 1 baptized. Overnight Camp for ages 12-18 had 79 campers and 4 saved with 3 baptized. And as you can see we also had a lot of fun.

Day Camp Praise-Jesus Cares About People-We heard stories from the Bible and from around the world
Green Shirts mean memory verses learned. These kids love the song, “Stronger”.
Hamster Wheel races the #1 fun this year!
Baptism in our lake ends our weeks of camp but definitely not the end
Camp Cabin challenges for the older campers prove interesting to say the least.

“Likewise, I say unto you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner that repenteth.” Luke 15:10.

May we rejoice with them and pray for those who received Jesus as their Savior, even as we pray for all to keep growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

We praise God for all those who have prayed, given, and worked this work of the Lord. It is the body of Christ as it should be. Thank you and may God bless you.

Let’s Do It Now

516“All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.

They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;

To make known to the sons of men thy mighty acts,

and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.

Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,

and thy dominion endureth throughout all generations.” Psalm 145:10-13

The kingdom of God:

Glorious in majesty>abundant wealth in greatness

The kingdom of God reflects the character of God who is abundant in greatness. There is none like Him.

“Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?” Ex. 15:11.

“And above the firmament that was over their heads was the likeness of a throne, as the appearance of a sapphire stone: and upon the likeness of the throne was the likeness as the appearance of a man above upon it.

And I saw as the colour of amber, as the appearance of fire round about within it, from the appearance of his loins even upward, and from the appearance of his loins even downward, I saw as it were the appearance of fire, and it had brightness round about.

As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, saw as the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the LORD, And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.” Ezek. 1:26-28.

Everlasting>perpetual , without end, always

As is His kingdom so is our God.

“Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God.” Psalm 90:2.

“Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen.” 1Tim. 1:17.

Many view the kingdom of God as some distant future home. This is only one piece of His kingdom, the final glorious majesty of His kingdom. The essence of the kingdom of God is among us, for the King dwells within us.

“From that time Jesus began to preach and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand…Matt. 4:17; And as ye go preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matt. 10:7.

“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.” John 3:5-7.

“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord God shall call.” Acts 2:38-39.

“I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.” Gal. 2:20.

As followers of Christ, we are children of the King. We are no longer of this world. It is time for us to join the saints.

“All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee.

They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power;

To make known to the sons of men thy mighty acts,

and the glorious majesty of his kingdom.”

“Giving thanks to the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:” Col. 1:12,13.

What have you been talking about today? Let’s begin to speak like we are not ashamed of the gospel of Christ,

”for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”  Rom. 1:16.

We are children of the King. There is none like Him. We have something to talk about. Let us make known by word and deed His glorious majesty. Let’s do it now.

“He Is Here”

DSCF4224“Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.” Psalm 66:16.

The Lord gave me a song in the night, He is Here. If I knew how to include a video here I  would include it but I don’t so I encourage you to google “He is Here” song lyrics and hear the Gaither Band sing it. I believe you will be blessed.

After listening to the song, I turned to my scripture reading in Psalm 66 and knew I had to share my blessing with all who would “Come and hear…what he hath done for my soul.”

He has saved me.

He took my judgment of death and gave me life.

He has made me His own child. I call him, Father.

He has put a song in my heart.

He loves me with an everlasting love and has poured out His mercy and grace upon me.

He has given me his Holy Spirit. He dwells with me.

He has given me the desire of my heart. He is my desire and my good reward.

He hears my prayers.

He leads me daily in the paths of righteousness.

He supplies all my need according to his abundance and goodness.

This by no means is a comprehensive list. Only a beginning.

“God be merciful unto us, and bless us: and cause his face to shine upon us;” Ps. 67:1

He is. He does. He has.

What will you declare the Lord has done for your soul?

Young, Old, or Somewhere In-Between, Part 3

The time for Day Camp drew near and I didn’t have the volunteers I needed. I prayed and the Lord sent me a group of teens and has been sending me faithful teens every year since. Praise God for their willingness to serve alongside us older ones. We need their strength, energy, and example. DSCF0314

 “I write unto you, young men…“Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them…Ecc. 12:1; Let no man despise thy youth: but be thou an example of the believers in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity…1Tim. 4:12; The glory of young men is their strength.” Prov. 20:29.

IMG_4350 because ye have overcome the wicked one…Through thee will we push down our enemies: through thy name will we tread them under that rise up against us…Ps. 44:5; For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ…2Cor. 10:4,5; For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” I John 5:4.

ye are strong, and the word of God abideth in you, Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word…Ps. 119;9; Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken  unto you. Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me…If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you…If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” John 15:3,4,7,10,11.IMG_0605

The body of Christ is made up of many members, the children, the older and the somewhere-in-between. Children, stay close to God. Hear your teachers of His word. Follow the Lord. Fathers, you know your Lord God, don’t lose hope. Stay strong in the power of His might. Continue to be an example for those following you. Young men, offer your strength to the Lord. Continue to grow in His grace and knowledge. Bear the fruit of the Lord now and when you are old you will flourish. Above all else, let us:

DSCF0251“This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.” John 15:12

Are you a child, a father, or a young person? I believe I am a bit of all three, still learning new things but enabled to teach others by word and example, a youth in spirit, still excited and strong in desire to serve the Lord. What about you?

“Jesus Loves Me”

“Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so…”

“But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me; for of such is the kingdom of heaven… Come ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.” (Matt. 19:14 Ps. 34:11).IMG_0499

My all- time favorite song is “Jesus Loves Me”. I learned the words and was introduced to this truth as a child and continue to learn the truth of the words as an adult.IMG_0525

“Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God…”1John

And it is that same love that motivates us to be about the work of the Father. He has given us the privilege and the joy of calling the children to come to Him. Thank you for your prayers and giving that make this work possible. I hope you enjoy a few of the pictures from our mission trip and Day Camp. If you offered a prayer or gave in any way, the joy of God’s blessings are yours as well. IMG_0644IMG_0620

From the sandsof the Black Mesa with its arid dry heat, to the humid and stormy weather of So. IL, children are coming to the Lord. Let us rejoice and be glad, never failing to teach them the fear of the Lord and the truth of Jesus’ great love for each one.

Giving Thanks!

“When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the Lord thy God for the good land which he hath given thee. Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God…” Deut. 8:10, 11a.DSCF4446

“Giving thanks unto the Father…” (Col. 1:12) “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.” “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good, his mercy is everlasting and his truth endureth to all generations.” (1Thess. 5:18; Ps. 100:4,5).

“Give thanks unto the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the people.” “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” “O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.” “Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God…” (1Chron. 16:8; John 3:16; 1Chron. 8:34; 1John 3:1a).

Give thanks! because He, “hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light…hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son; In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:” (Col. 1:12-14).

“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel for ever and ever. And all the people said. Amen, and praised the Lord.”(1Chron. 8:36).

Thank you, heavenly Father for all your goodness and mercy, your great love you have loved us with, for making us one in you. May we gather this weekend and bless your holy name, giving you praise. Amen.

What Offering Do You Bring?

“Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation, from day to day…Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts.” Ps. 96:2,8.blogpraise-1154566__340

I want to purpose a thought here. First we are told to show the Lord’s salvation for this blesses His name. Then in verse 8, we are to bring an offering into his courts thereby bringing glory to his name. Let’s think a moment about where His courts are located.

We, His children by faith, are His temple. Would His courts not be the world as we bear His kingdom among us? Where we are there are His courts?  If so, then let us bring Him glory by bringing His offering into the world. It begins with a song but is so much more.

“Sing unto the LORD, bless his name; shew forth his salvation, from day to day..Honour the Lord with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase… Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself… Which now…was neighbor unto him that fell among the thieves? And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise… Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.” (Prov. 3:9; Matt. 22:39;Luke 10:36,37; Heb. 12:12,13).

“Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name: bring an offering, and come into his courts…Come ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in…Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me… For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not…This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.” (Matt. 25:34-36.40; 2Cor. 8:12; John 15:12).

If we would bring the offering of love given to us and give it to others in the name of the Lord, what a different world we would live in. Let’s “Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name.” How is the Lord using you to bear His glory and bless His name?

Not the Usual

Not the usual but yet it is. First I don’t usually post on Saturday. The not so unusual: My summer posts have all been about how blessed we are as children of God and returning that blessing to the Lord. So, I can’t help but share the goodness, faithfulness and provision of God He has blessed me with this day.IMG_0386

The cabins, at the camp a group of  us minister at in the summer, is in bad need of replacement. Until we dug into one we didn’t realize how bad. The Lord sent us a couple of construction workers to help us begin tearing down and rebuilding one of the worst ones. In all honesty, as we tore it apart, I believe it is only by God’s grace it didn’t come down in a wind storm.

Praise the Lord, the rain that was to come in today didn’t and we were able to get it torn down to the pad. These men and each who came to help were a Godsend and we praise God for the willingness you had to give. Thank you for your service to the Lord.

Next, my husband and I take a group of teens and young adults on a mission trip each summer and this year our intake of donations was a bit shy of what we needed…until today. From an unexpected source there was a check in my mailbox that supplied our final need. Our heavenly Father faithfully supplies exceeding abundantly more than we ask. Isn’t He wonderful!

In the good, the bad and in between, and we’ve experienced it all in one day, God is good.  What good has God done for you today? Have a blessed day!

Are You Satisfied?

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:DSCF1514

  • Who forgiveth all thine iniquities;
  • who healeth all thy diseases;
  • Who redeemeth thy life from destruction;
  • who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
  • Who satisifieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagles.” Psalm 103:2-5

The Lord has blessed His children with all of the above. Now, we bless(give honor) Him in remembering who He is and who He has made us.

“Who forgiveth all thine iniquities…For thou, LORD, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee… Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more… (Ps. 86:5; John 8:11).

“…who healeth all thy diseases…I said, LORD, be merciful unto me: heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee…Jesus seeing their faith said unto the sick of the palsy; Son, be of good cheer; thy sins be forgiven thee…Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. (Ps. 41:4;Matt. 9:2b,6b; 1Peter 2:24).

“Who redeemeth thy life from destruction…Who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us from this present evil world, according to the will of God and our Father… Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us…By this I know that thou favourest me, because mine enemy doth not triumph over me. And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity, and settest me before thy face for ever.” (Gal. 1:4; Heb. 9:12; Ps. 41:11,12).

“…who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies…Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not. Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is. And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.” 1John 3:1-3.

DSCF1527“Who satisifieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagles…For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness… But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you… but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day… Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content. I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”(Ps. 107:9; Matt. 6:33; 1Cor. 4:16; Phil. 4:11-13).

So, are you satisfied with the life you’re living? If not, why? Could the answer be found in what you are filling it with? How do today’s verses speak to your need?

If you know the blessedness of being forgiven, redeemed, and satisfied, then return the blessing to the Lord by:bloggratitude-1201944_960_720

  • Going and sinning no more.
  • Living in the healing of your soul.
  • Living in victory over the enemy.
  • Living in the sure hope of the Lord’s coming.
  • Seeking the kingdom of God and His righteousness.
  • Walking in the strength of Christ.
