“…and when he had taken the book, the four beasts and the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb…And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;”Rev.5:8,9.
The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world is a personal Savior. He came for all and He came for one. He sees the whole and each individual part.
“…for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood…” We visited this truth in yesterday’s blog, “The Lamb’s Blessings Cont’d”. So here I’ll summarize what came to mind.
- wounded for…our transgressions
- bruised for…our iniquities
- took our chastisement for peace upon himself
- He became our sin, so we could become His righteousness
- He became our curse, redeeming us from the curse
- His death and resurrection became the fulfillment of our blessing in Abraham, receiving the Holy Spirit
- He tasted our death
I say our, for all these blessings come to all who believe. But take a moment and change the our to my.
“…out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation…And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice… Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed. Unto you first God, having raised up his Son Jesus, sent him to bless you, in turning away every one of you from his iniquities… Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as one, And to thy seed, which is Christ… (Gen. 22:18; Acts 3:25,26; Gal. 3:16).
When I view my site, I always check the countries representing my viewers and followers. And I see the truth of this blessing. The gospel reaches around the world. Christ tells us before the end comes every nation will hear.
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Matt. 24:14.
Many believe this means Christ will not rapture His church until this is fulfilled. I’m not convinced as to when the rapture will occur. I do know it will happen. But I am persuaded that during the great tribulation period the gospel will be preached one last time.
“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.” Rev. 14:6,7.
It will be too late for those who have already chosen to take the mark of the beast and worship him and his image. Here is the judgment of the Lamb.
“The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever…”Rev. 14:10,11.
Here is your blessing of the Lamb:
“And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also… Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.”( John 14:3; Rev. 22:7).
Praying you have received the Lamb and know His blessings are yours.
One blessing I enjoy is looking at the various countries representing my viewers. If you are free to comment, What country are you viewing from? And what do you believe about the Lamb?
One day space and time will not separate us who have received the Lamb. We will have an eternity to share our stories of Him as we experience the fullness of His blessings.
